There is a school in the slums of Ghaziabad , India that is in critical need of basic supplies for education. There are 180 children studying in a tiny shed with minimal infrastructure however , maintaining the school has been extremely difficult , especially after there was a fire that destroyed school facilities in June 2019. These kids were picking up trash on the streets until this school was started.
I am Vandana and I have been a student of this school for the past eight years . Right now I am in the 7th grade . We are 5 brothers and sisters at home . My father works as a daily laborer . My elder sister studied from the same school and my younger brother is also studying here . I really want to work very hard and join the police force in future . I want to help the society the same way this school has helped us in our education. Being a police officer is my dream.

I am Tanu and I am in grade 7 . I love being in this school and all my friends are here . I have a younger brother who studies here only. Both my parents work as helpers in a factory nearby . I want to become a doctor in a government hospital so that I can treat poor people . When I grow up I want to help my parents financially so that they don’t have to work thishard .
